    Apple used several models for their 2x burners and now they are installing a 4X burner.
    I note that rima.com sells many different kinds of discs; what have you used?

    I too use rima.com.

    They are pretty competitive with their prices and the service has been great so far.

    I don't have a SuperDrive, I have a Sony DRU-500UL. I just purchased 100 Optodisk gold topped media, 80 cents apiece. Upon my suggestion, they are going to start carrying the Samsung media, right now there is a shortage and on backorder.
