I have IFOEDIT and would like to backup a dual-layer DVD9 to two DVDs, however I would like one to be the movie and the other to be just the "extra features". I have Pinnacle Extra Copy so I can further "reduce" the movie if needed to fit on one DVD. I would like to do this in order to have the best quality of the movie and the features. How can I determine which VOB-IDs are for the movie and which are for the features, so I know which to strip off of each disk?

I use DVD Decryptor (http://www.dvddecrypter.com/), which is freeware, to rip. Go to Mode (Top Pull Down Menu) and make sure "IFO I" is selected. Load your DVD into your DVD-ROM or DVD+/-RW drive. In the box to the left the *.vob files associated with the main movie will be highlighted. Select where on you harddrive you want these files to be ripped and then go to File > Decrypt. After ripping you got the .vob's associated with the main movie. If you what to rip the remaining files (or all files) then Mode > File F will show you all the files. You can select any or all from that view. Also, the main movie is usually in the largest collection (size wise) of .vob's (e.g., VTS_02_1.VOB, VTS_02_2.VOB ... VTS_02_4.VOB and VTS_02_5.VOB; The first four (For Example) will be on 1,048,055 KB and the last one will be smaller.) It's fairly obvious where the main movie is located once you've done a couple of rips.
