  1. Hey guys, I need some help. I don't know if anyone has seen the Two Towers dvd screener rip but the version I have is made up of 4 mpeg2 (SVCD) videos that are 792MB each, and were encoded at 2490kbps with sound at 224 kbps. I am NOT concerned with burning this movie, but I want to know how I can replicate this with movies that I own. So far I can only get them to the video to be encoded at 2065 kbps at the same file size with TMPGEnc. Did the person who ripped this movie use a template or something that I haven't tried yet? Any advice that you can guys can offer is greatly appreicated.

    Thanks

  2. I have learnt alot from this site and the best thing I have learnt is something called CVD. It is in essence a SVCD (and if your player can play SVCd it can play CVD) look over in the what is a read up on it (what is SVCD)....the quality can mimic DVD and unitl you get a dvd burner it's the way to go. You can download Pueotricans Templates from the tools section also if you wanna do this with dvd's you already own then use dvd2svcd and set it to CVD specs as for movies you have already encoded I wouldn't try cause re-encoding=loss of quality ..how much I do not know to get the bitrate higher unfortunalty it means more discs...instead of 2 discs your better of going for 3 to get them most out of the bitrate...but once you read about CVD you'll be hooked read it and if you want any help I will be more than happy to offer suggestions...it does make better looking video files for your viewing pleasure
How long could we maintain? I wondered. How long until one of us starts raving and jabbering at this boy? What will he think then?
