  1. I am trying to convert phone booth svcd which is pal to ntsc dvd-mpeg standard but everytime i try all the guides the picture movement comes out fast and audio is fast along with the movie. I have TMPGenc for conversion (in which i put in the check box in the do not frame rate conversion and I select the unlock template and set it to 3:2 pulldown when play back) and Virtual Dub 1.5.1 for audio to wav, be sweet to change audio from pal to ntsc and goldwave to change timing and I also tried WOSLA and that still doesnt work. Its kind of important to me to convert pal to ntsc dvd cause I like to watch movies in my car. so if you can help me out I appreciate it.

Your framerate is probably set to 29.97, instead of 23.976. I've never used TMPGenc to convert from PAL to FILM, but I do know how to do it in AVISynth.

If your source is MPEG, you'll need DVD2AVI (version 1.76), MPEG2DEC, and AVISynth ( version 2.08 ). You should be able to find all of these, either here, or at www.doom9.org in the downloads section.

Load the MPEG from your SVCD into DVD2AVI. Set your Audio to 'DECODE', and save it as a Project File (call it "DVD2AVI.D2V" ). Open Notepad, and put in the following lines, and save it as "DVD2AVI.AVS"

    #Begin Script
LoadPlugin("mpeg2dec.dll") #this dll should be in your windows directory
    mpeg2source("dvd2avi.d2v")
    AssumeFPS(23.976,True)
    #End Script

The script above will convert your video to 23.976 fps. The audio can be converted in BeSweet (use the PAL to FILM option in the BeSweet GUI ).

If you open this script in TMPGenc, use the the DVD (Film) template. There are a couple of guides here for this process. You can try these as well: https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/78178.php
