  1. After using DVDBackup and/or DVD2oneX, there is only a VIDEO_TS folder. But people say to make an AUDIO_TS folder when burning in toast. I've been burning DVD-Rs without the audio folder and they work fine in my Apex 5131.

So why do we need this folder? It's just an empty folder, right?

Also, which files are considered invisible?

  2. just put an empty AUDIO_TS folder on the dvd.
some players won't work without it.

The Apex players are notorious for being able to handle dvd-r's of all sorts, that’s to say with or without audio_TS .

I have the 5131 also and it plays them just fine with the audio_ts folder.

The reason you want to put it in there is so that OTHER players can also play it with no problems, since playback of dvd-r's is player specific.

Most all players will play a dvd with the audio_ts folder so its safe to just include it!

If you are the only one watching the dvd and its only going to be played on the 5131 you can keep it out, (but its what 0K to add it )

    Hope that makes since.

Invisible files will be any of those that show up looking like .DS_STORE or anything that the OSX hides that toast will be able to see.

You should only notice these if you drag and drop your folders into toast.

For example, if you make an audio_ts folder on your desktop and then drag that to your dvd disk in toast, most likely there will be one or two files that register in toast inside that folder, just delete them with toasts clear function.

Likewise, check the video_ts folder for these files, and also the root of the disk if you drag your entire dvd folder to toast so that the name of the disk automatically shows up in toast.

My how to has you doing it that way, so just look for these files and delete them.

Simplest method is to delete any discrepancy between the toast folders and the actual dvd folder you have on your HD.
