  1. I'm having a problem with the audio in my current ReelDVD project. All of the video is DV which I converted (.m2v and .wav) using the Adobe Mpeg Encoder in Premiere 6.5.

In the project settings I left the audio settings set to "as is", and the audio worked after authoring and burning the dvd. The problem is, however, that every 5 or 10 seconds or so, the audio skips. It doesn't do this in the original .wav file, only after the disc has been authored (i checked the dvd using WinDVD and playing from the authored folder).

I then tried switching the audio settings to Dolby Digital, and it when I try to drop the .wav file onto the video file in the storyboard, it says "encoding audio to dolby digital... this may take awhile" then, almost instantly it adds the audio. But the audio isn't the same length as the video. Not even close. I don't think it's actually encoding the audio. What audio settings should I use to go from DV to DVD in ReelDVD.

  2. Have you encoded the video at quite a high bitrate? If so, the combined data rate per-second of the video and the .wav may exceed that which your player is capable of reading/processing. Not sure why ReelDVD is messing up your audio when it tries to re-encode it. Is the audio.wav definitely 48khz when it leaves Premiere and enters ReelDVD?

Just trying to work out what's going on via a process of elimination, so don't think I'm tryin' to teach you to suck eggs!

    Arky ;o)
