I am having problems getting errors when burning the lead-out in Toast. The error is:
Sense Key = Medium Error
Sense Code = 0x73, 0x04
So I am giving up on Toast for now and want to try Disk Copy to see if it works better.
I saw this by Kai in another thread:
Where can I find VideoTSISO? I have been searching but no luck so far.Originally Posted by KaiCherry
Also, anybody have any suggestions on the above error? I reduced the size of the data by 50MB and I still get the error. Also, it seems to only occur in the lead-out phase.
Thanks,

Isn't he talking about using TOAST itself not to do the burn but to create an ISO on your hard drive
then burning the iso with disc copy -
I have no clue what the error is. Somewhere else in that same thread MissingMediaBurner was suggested to turn your VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders into a compliant .iso that can be burned with disc copy. I have tried it on three discs and it has worked fine.

I get an error during recording that includes the words "Medium Error." What can I do?
There are several options:
1. Try another type of media. If you are using CD-RW disks, try a CD-R or vice versa.
2. Try another brand or color of media. Some recorders seem to work more reliably with certain types of recordable disks. Try finding a particular type that works well with your recorder.
3. If neither of the previous two have helped, it is likely that your recorder has developed a problem. Check with your recorder manufacturer for repair or replacement.

It may be that your drive doesn't like the particular disks that you have. I ordered a sampler pack from Meritline, and discovered that of the six different brands of disks, one kind didn't work on my Superdrive (Optodisc). -

I need writable surface discs since labels seem to cause problems on DVDs. I was going to try the Optodiscs... Which one did you have problems with - blue, gold, silver? I am using a TiBook superdrive.
Also, any idea on where to find the elusive VideoTSISO? It sounds like a cleaner method to making the images.

I got the same error the other day while writing the lead out, and honestly believe it is the media. Becuase I tried a new disk and it worked fine, just a bad disk it seems.

Yeah, I assume it is the media also but it is odd that it only occurs during the lead-out portion. I have not had the problem with Ritek discs but cannot use them in my standalone (won't play near the outside of the disc). I have been using Memorex discs because they play in my standalone and I can write on them.
Kai (or anyone else...): Where can I find VideoTSISO?
