I bought a Sony DVD player (Sony DVP-NS715P) that is highly rated at dvdrhelp. It's listed as supporting SVCD as well as XSVCD. It's a nice machine and the SVCDs look great, but it doesn't have menu or chapter support for this format. It's listed as supporting XVCD at a 2800 bitrate. But I tried several and they look terrible.
I live in the rural midwest, so taking a disc to a store is not an option because I have such a limited selection.
I need a player that also supports MP3 and long filenames for MP3.
