    Hi,

I ripped "Ice Age" with DVD Decryptor, and tried to convert it with DVD2SVCD.
After a few tries, I got to do the .bin images. After burning it with Nero (CDRWin just did not made the job), I went to watch it on my DVD player, but noticed the audio and video were out of sync by some seconds (10 second, more or less).
Could someone give me any tip on why did this happen? Could it be because it was not ripped with DVD2SVCD?

    thanks in advance,

    marcelo

  2. best bet is to ask the author.

but you could also try the software on my site.

it's does not support spliting or convert into a .bin .cue image but it will come out with the best output.

    Hi,

thanks for your reply. I will be trying the software.
The problem is that I'm looking for SVCD, not VCD.

    regards

I got this as well using DVDdecripter/DVD2AVI frameserving TMPGenc.

There are two "Twentieth Centry Fox" intros, the second is silent and the audio seems to be skipped by DVD2AVI.

I'm having a real job re-syncing so I'm investigating how to cut the source vobs so that frameserving starts after the 20C Fox intro.

Same here, i ripped with smartripper and encoded with DVD2SVCD. One intro too much, i don't know how this happens, some kind of protection?

Did you use DVD2SVCD to rip the DVD? According to the author this should work better than smartripper...?

I encoded it many times and even tried to edit, but i got tired of it and i deleted the whole thing. I'll download it instead..

Selecting a range and then encode doesn't solve it, by the way.

  8. No, i have a Cyberhome ADM512 DVD player and a pioneer DVDROM 105S. It is not a playback or record error, it is a second piece of FOX intro which seems to be put in between the video sequence.

I used a Region 2 Ice Age DVD.

So, i need a good VOB edit program, or something to shift the audio track in the mpg file.

  9. I had this problem at first and de-muxed my mpg so I still had the m2v file. After that I re-ripped the vobs with smartripper and chose "de-mux to extra file" for the ac3 audio. Smartripper should give you a delay time in the file name, take that information and enter it into BeSweet under "set audio delay". I personally don't like the mp2's that BeSweet makes so I convert to wav and then mp2 with tooLame. Re-mux your file and it should be synced
entirely TOO much time on my hands

Found an easy solution - DVD2AVI allows the user to set the start & end points (rather like the MPEG tools of TMPGenc). Simply by setting the start point, using the slider, after the 2nd intro, I can get near perfect AV sync (as close as TMPGenc allows).
