I recently ripped a DVD, which was DVD5. So I went straight to burning software without having to do anything with it. I wanted to get rid of the copyright warning as it annoys me as you can not fast forward. So I deleted the file manually, however my burning software will not copy it to DVD-R. It came with "errors with job". When I restored the deletec cpyright file it worked fine. Burning software used Nero Burning and RecordNow. How do you get rid of the copyright warning?
Thanks.

Might be cause the information files for the disk are pointing to a missing file. The one you deleted. So the burning software thinks there is a problem. Which there might be cause it woun't play right.
Don't give in to DVD2ONE, that leads to the dark side. -
just rip the movie and then run it though ifoedit yo make new ifo and bup files then burn hte files. the warning should be gone.

That makes sense I can do that. My question is though how does the burning software knows that there is a missing file? I am burning only in Data mode!
Thanks. -
I use vobrator to find where the warning is; and then use ifoedit to strip it out.
The software knows it is missing the file because you either have the options telling it to or it is built in depending on what you are using. U can turn off compliency in RNM and Nero but the DVD should not work if you manually delete files the way you did. -
You might want to try DVDshrink. It lets you trim part of your movie, then re-auther the dvd. And best of all it's free.
Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........
