  3. Do a search. I found a few posts about this with some answers. The only way to know if that is what you are looking for, is to try it for yourself. I hope this helps.

  4. If someone could answer that question they should copyright it.

It's not possible and if you find out a way tell me first

Its funny that this same question pops up about every 2 weeks, and the answer is always the same.

But some of the top suggesions I've heard are:

    1) Make a deep scratch to make it unreadable and therefore protecting the info
    2) Toss into a blender and hit liquify.
    3) Drill a hole through the disc
    4) Dont pass around copies of stuff you dont want copied

    Encrypt the data before transfer.
Then transfer the encrypted files to CD-Rom.

Use 128 bit or greater protection on your files and a long ass password that you don't write down.

P.S. That "deep scratch" bit is true comedy!

get this...my roommate went into my computer to get some files he wanted and he burned them to a disc...

i found the disc and noticed it had my stuff on it...

so what i did is take a pair of scissors and gouge the inner part of the cd track so that it was rendered unreadable

it was funny to see him try to read the disc...he even asked me if there was a way he could fix it...and i asked him "was there anything important on there" and he said..."uh....it's just some....uh stuff"

    so he got screwed....

makes me laugh just remembering it

thats exactly right, PREVENT.. thats all you can do.. the only sure way to prevent people from copying your stuff is to not let them have it at all. otherwise you run the risk of it being copied.. there are measures to PREVENT people from copying the discs.. but you give someone 5 minutes & google, they'll have the disc copied (if they have half a brain)..

But unfortunately in many cases we do have to let people have our stuff.
For an example , how could a singer become famous if he doesn't allow record companies or promoters have a copy of his demo "song" ?

Best protection is the Sony PSX protection although it can be defeated with a modchip. But can one imagine installing a modchip in a Cd walkman or a DVD player or a DVD-Rom etc ?
