any one know what a philips ifo is ?

hi all

i started using sonic my dvd,,

when you click on get movies,,in the window that opens,,in file of types,,you have,,

movies(avi,m2p,m2v ect)

but the next one down says,,

philips IFO files (ifo)

so the burning question is how do you create a
philips ifo file,,,,
