    Hi,

Is there anybody who can tell me if there's a good program out there to split a dvd-9 movie easely to 2 dvd-5's ?

    - I don't like dvdXcopy because it put a warning screen in front of every movie you backup. (don't want to erase the warning screen manually for every movie I'm doing with dvdxcopy)
    - dvdtoolbox only ripped the main movie and skipped menu (done test for blairwitch project)
    - DVDSplit6 gives a working 1st disc but on the 2nd disc the audio is the one with directors giving on the movie

I used to split my movies with the ifoedit guide to split to 2 dvd-5's but all my latest movies will not burn in Record Now DX.
After starting it stops with an error. (even in test mode so something must be not correct according to RecordNow)
That's why I'm looking now for a g00d program who can do this for me
(Last movies I tried: Hollowman, Blairwitch Project and Perfect Storm)

Hope you have some advice 4 me.

  5. I generally use IfoEdit when I'm determined to split the movie to 2 DVD-Rs. It's not too difficult. I did it with Castaway last week, and it worked out fine.

I always split dvd9's into 2 dvd5's when it's for my own 'collection'
IfoEdit v0.95 is the ultimate tool to do this.

Although Derrow's development of IfoEdit has seazed (he works at 321studios now on DvDXCopy) the program still rulezzz

  8. If you "experienced" enough to use IfoEdit. Try to use ImgTools to make an image of the DVD and then burn it with DVD Decriptor.

Always works. Does not matter how you've got your VIDEO_TS directory.
