Hi everybody,

I have a few movie DVD's that are quite small in size and wanted to put them on 1 DVDR.

After trying for 3 days I finally managed to do it, but stumbled across a problem I can't seem to fix.

The process I used to do this is as follows:

1. I ripped all the DVD's to seperate dirs on my HD. (DVD1, DVD2, DVD3)
2. Placed all the movie VOBS (left the extra's and menu's out) in a new dir. (NEWDVD)
3. Renamed all files in the dir "NEWDVD" in VTS_01_x.VOB style. (from VTS_01_1.VOB to VTS_01_9.VOB)
4. Used IFOEdit to create the IFO files for the files in the dir "NEWDVD".
5. Edited IFO's with IFOEdit so the subs and audio would be recognized on my Standalone DVD Player.

Now, if I would burn like this I would still not be able to switch subs and/or audio. The movies play fine but I want to be able to switch subs and audio. Sooooooooooooooooo....

6. Used DVD2One on the source dir (NEWDVD) and let it construct a new DVD structure in the target dir (FINALDVD).

Everything looked sweet by now. Burned the DVD and hey, at first it seemed to work perfectly. All movies were on the disc and the audio and subs are switchable for the DVD's. Untill I came to the last movie.

There was no sound whatsoever. After examining the source DVD's I discovered the first 2 DVD's I copied had 6 channel AC3 sound and the 3th DVD had 2 channel MPEG-1 sound.

So I bet that's the reason why the first 2 movies work perfectly and the 3th isn't since when examining the IFO files of the files in the "FINALDVD" directory it seemed that you can only set the sound format for the entire set. (You can't use different sound formats in the same set but I guess you could use different sound formats if you have multiple sets, e.g. use AC3 sound for VTS_01_x and MPEG-1 sound for VTS_02_x).

I bet you can guess what my question is.

How can I burn a DVD with multiple sound formats? I'm sure I just need to make multiple sets on the DVD but I have no idea how to accomplish that.

Anybody has experience with this?

Thanks in advance.

Take care and have a great day!

Regards,
Spidey
