  1. This forum is supposed to be one of the best. First time that i see so many post not answered. Only on the last page there is more then 18 post with no answer. I did post yesterday morning, what i consider a very simple question and if you look at it i am up to the point of begging to get an answer. First time that i see a community that seems not to care for questions and problems. Sometimes someone will answer back with a question but never comes back to check on your answer. Very surprise and disapointed with all this. My question was about a problem with svcd and since i bought my dvd player a week ago i wanted to know if it was my dvd player that was wrong so i could bring it back to the store. It seem that my question was either very complicated or nobody cared giving me an answer. For shure i will be flame for that but for god sake a forum is to get help.

  3. Thanks Bob for your answer. I did what you said yesterday and there is nothing about my dvd player. My problem is not that i want to know if it is svcd compatible, i know it is. My problem is that half of my svcd dont want to play on my standalone but they all play on my friend old dvd player. I just want to know why is it that half of them dont want to play. Somebody asked me if i had change my burning speed or changed my cds brand. I did not. Another one asked me about pal and ntsc. All my files were 23.976 or 29.97 so they are all NTSC. My standalone is NTSC and also PAL region 1. Also someone told me about a burning problem. I can i have a burning problem if they all work on my friend dvd player? They would not work at all in no places if i did burn them the wrong way. It seems that i not going to find out about this WEIRD problem. Thanks anyway for your kindness in answering.

  5. Well I have only made a few SVCD CDR discs using NeoDVD Plus and they all played on the three players I have at home. Shortly after that I went out and bought a DVD burner so my experience is little to none. I have heard that some or is it most DVD players will not play svcd but will do vcd and also some will not do un-authored svcd. BTW I have a Mintek 1600 DVD player that I got at BestBuy for $47 that will play anything I throw at it. If I could get a slice of bread into the drive I swear it would play it.

What is the make and model of your DVD player so I can take a look for information on it.

  7. BOB w, again thanks for your patience but i am not trying to find out if my dvd player is svcd compatible, i know it is. It says so on the front but i am wondering why some of my cds dont play and some do. My friend as an old dvd player that is svcd compatible and all my cds plays on it. My question is, why some dont play and some do? If i had done any mistake burning them or during the conversion, why would they play on my friend dvd^player?

  8. I don't know what that means. Also I can't find a thing about any Conquest DVD players so it must be some off branded player.

Then it should be fine IMO. One of the players I had (I gave it to my mother) was a JVC about three months old and it played VCD/SVCD/DVD-R, and DVD+R without a hitch.
