  1. I haven't tried all the TMPEGenc templates located here, but before I go and make a bunck of coasters , I would like to hear from the community, which templates they use...how they modify them...and for what formats.

I'm specifically interested in VCD and xVCD ones. TIA

I've used both the PAL and NTSC VCD templates. Both work fine. NTSC does give a better picture and not as jumpy. I've been using CDRWs. This way you can experiment all you want and not make those coasters.

  3. My favorite is not using a template. Those things assume a lot of information about your source which may not be accurate. Your better of tweaking the settings yourself manually. I'd only use those as a crutch if you were really new at this.

  4. when I used tmggenc, my fav was 'unlock' because you could make everything how you wanted it to be.

  5. I loaded the VCD complaint plate then took all the settings from the SVCD plate inserted into the VCD plate left the res at 352x240 now I have a XVCD plate thats at 2520, and NERO 5.5 burns the VCD's with no problem.

I personal, do not use a template (except "unlock" since I want my movies to fit on one CD. So I use DVTool to calculate the bitrate (I find it is the most accurate one, I tried all the others). Then I convert them!

QUESTION: HOW DO I PUT A LINK HERE like "founf 'here'"???
