I am using Mac osX and while I easily ripped vob files from a dvd (using dvdbackup) onto the Mac... I am having trouble finding an easy way, or any way, to convert these to mpg (mpg1 prefer, for vcd). I have QT6 (not pro) and it's of no use and Toast, which does not seem to encode these vob files.... Hope someone can shed some light on here for me.
Thanx, the Vidster

personally, I've tried many of the solutions available for the mac, and unfortunately, none of them work, or at least, none of them have worked for me. I imagien that if you really understand the technology, you can use the UNIX tools, but all the one-stop-shops programs have failed for me.
The most promising solution from DVD to MPG1 solution so far is fortytwo, and I hope the developers can get it working soon.
