ok i know there are many posts about this topic but i want to ask my question directly. my question is..i have a family vacation that i want to put on dvd, i know how to do all this but i want a menu, it dosnt have to be fancy just a simple good looking menu, what is the best program to use for what i am trying to do? ps. if you say maestro i know nothing about it really so maybe a link w/ a guide

I like Ulead DVDworkshop. It is easy to use. For your first DVD, use the wizard. The program is very powerful when you learn to use it. There is a guide for it on their site. There is also a free trial version available for downloading. Give it a try. I think you'll like it.

Ulead Movie Factory 2.
I've done several home movies with this, very easy more than enough for what you'll need.
