Ecosts.com sells this software, and their website says it recreates your DVDs in 3 simple steps.
Does this mean that this software only really uses ONE blank DVD disc ?
also will it re-create your menus that you see at the beginning of a movie ?
Curstiou to know that,
thanks guys.

http://www.dvdxcopy.com/faq.htm
Q. How many discs are required to burn one DVD?
A. Many DVD movies will fit onto one DVD disk, but on occasion, you will need/want to split the DVD onto two DVD recordable disks.
I would say that many wont fit. Most movies I own are dvd-9 which means that they must be splitted. -
Everyone here has a different opinion on what is best.
DVDxcopy will copy the whole thing with menus. It will use one or TWO DVDR depending on the size the original. I would plan on two disc.
It is not BAD software. But...
What do you want from a program? perfect Quality, one DVDR, menus and extras, simple, ect.... or maybe SVCD (not DVD)
Are you willing to pay for it?
Legality of DVDxcopy is questionable but for sale at retail, so possibly.
Personally I chose another software.
But I am not other people. -
Ive been using DVDXCOPY for 5 months and HALF the movies fit on one disc if you omit some special feature's but you still have the menu's and chapters and some extra still intact. If you want all the special features and extra's you will need 2 disc's. Over course DVD-5 movies will only need 1 disc.
And you dont lose any quality in video its just like the original, unlike other software like IC, DVD95copy and DVD2ONE. -
DVDxcopy is great but review others like:
DVD2one
DVD95copy
Instant Copy
then make an informed choice
You could look at other software if support is not important.
check the tab on the left of your screen "Tools" -
DVDXCopy as of now does not do many more things than some of the freeware software available. (as far as one to one reproductions) The one good thing I would say about it is that it is very user friendly.
Pinnacle Instant copy allows for more flexibility, as far as choosing streams and the ability to transcode a pretty good copy onto one disk.
I think the answer to your question is YES.
Don't get me wrong, and just purchase it now. A new version (platinum) is coming out at the end of april that offers all the flexibilty of Instant Copy with the user friendly one to one copies that it currently offers. Its the best of both worlds. -
I also use DVD2ONE for some movies, IC takes to long to process I dont have time for it.
DVDXCOPY Platinum will come out later this month or next, will give you options to remove subtitles, extra's, languages, special features and let you keep in what you want to make most movies fit on 1 disc and lose no quality in the picture. Alot like IC but with no compressing.
Thats the baby Ive beeen waiting for for a awhile. -
Can't DXC do that now though?
DVD X Copy also gives you the option to remove extra DVD features, like trailers or interviews. -
DVDxCOPY can only omit features n stuff..Nothing that amazing really..Its certainly nothing that IFOedit (freeware) has been able to do for a long time. In fact i think Ifoedit can do at lot more !
DVDxCOPY has maybe missed to boat a bit coz there is a lot of software that Id say is 'better' coz they can compress the DVD to fit onto one disc, spreading the film across 2 (as DVDxCOPY does) isnt as popular now.
So try DVD2one or DVD95Copy or even better !..Try DVDshrink..it can do loads AND....ITS FREE ! -
