    8) I am quite new to this, but am learning.....Although the more I learn, the more I need to learn....

Are you still with me ????

Anyway, I'm converting DIVX to VCD I initially used TMPGenc for the whole process and it worked !!!. But on one movie I got a write error. After investigation (On the net) I found that I had a possible `frame error`So I used VirtualDub to frameserve to TMPGenc, this worked well for the first movie, but when I tried another one; original size DIVX 720 MB I ended up with a MPG of 1025 MB, I had hoped that it would fit on ONE VCD, my first conversions only increased in size from 720 MB to 850 MB which fitted on ONE VCD.....I wonder if I've inadvertently changed a setting....quality perhaps !!! to end up with such a large MPG...the only other thing I knowingly changed was the `number` in the Normalize Audio in TMPGenc from 75 to 100 I wasn't sure if this related to Volume or Quality......Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks

    Fascinating stuff all this.......

  2. Idon't know much about frameserving, but what I do know is that DIVX suqeezes higher quality video to smaller space. Expect 2 lower quality VCDs from one good DIVX movie. Then again,at least VCD has a wide range of compatability over DIVX
