I have 105MB avi file created by VirtualDub with 352X480 resolution and sound. The file plays on the computer fine(video & audio).
Trying to convert it to the VCD in tmpgen(latest version) gives me no sound after ~1 - 1.5 min. Video is OK.
    What could be wrong?
    Thanks.

TMPG may have problems with the sound compressed by Vdub.
Decompress the audio to .wav and do video conversion and audio conversion seperatly. After that multiplex.
    Hope this helps.

Look, the template, that I posted here is only an example for a dvd2svcd conversion in that very special case.
I mean, there is no "best template" at all. All settings depend on quality and specs of the source.

Thanks, Truman. Your suggestion to process video and audio separately solved the problem.
What I asked you is the template for tmpgen to create vcd for playing on stand alone DVD player created from VHS or I should use predefined one?
