  1. Hi,

Has anyone had any joy in backing up this 2 disc set?
Almost all of the episodes are on Disc 1, and 1 of them is on Disc 2 (Along with all the extra features..)

Is it possible for me to split the episodes equally over two DVDRs, minimising loss of video quality, using the basic tools at my disposal:

    DVDDecrypter
    IFOEdit
    DVD2One
    DVD95Copy
    Vobrator

I have TMPGEnc too, but it's a bit of a mystery to me...

    TIA!
    Mike.

  2. I backed up The Osbournes by joining(vobedit) that last episode on the second disc to disc one. Then i use ifoedit to split them episodes to 2 discs. The only problem I had is with the subtitles, they came out black. Both disc worked fine btw. Use the guide on ifoedit about joinign and splitting.

Do you know which .vob it is on the second disc, by any chance? (Prob. VTS_01_1.VOB 961,058kb)

Did you just join it to the end of the last .vob of the 1st disc?

(Sorry for all the q's, bit new to this editing lark...)

I don't remember w/c vob it was, you can view that vob file w/ PowerDVD or WinDVD.

You have to use vobedit to join that last episode to the end of the last vob of disc 1. You cannot cut and paste that vob file from disc 2 to disc1. Because if you cut and paste only and then split them w/ ifoedit, the last episode will play first on your second disc. It's gonna be messed up.

Make sure you check the orders of the episodes in PowerDVD or Windvd after joining them.
