I'm about to buy a new DVD-rom drive cos the one I have is rather old and it takes a lot of time to rip a movie. I was recommended to buy the new Pioneer DVD 120 but I couldn't find the free region firmware hack. guess it's too new. Can you recommend any others? Thanks in advance. Joejoe.![]()

I own the Pioneer 106, it's old, but you got the Firmware for it
Also i'd recommand Lite-On and AOpen DVD drives, also AsusTek considered
good by some, although i'm not a big fan myselfEmail me for faster replies!

I use a liteon 16x...rips at something like 8-14x all the time.
Sounds like an F-18 taking off :P -
For ripping get a LiteON LTD 133 or LiteON LTD 166s. Do a search at pricewatch and you will find one like I did.
