  1. Is it possible to rip just the special features off a DVD? For instance, can you just rip a trailer, deleted scenes or a specific documentary and not the rest of the movie?

    Some of the all-in-one tools, like Instancopy and DVDXcopy allow you to split the movie into two disks. Some give you the options to select what you put on each disk. I would use one of these programs and select the extras (plus menus) for the first disk and burn only this one.

    Search the appropriate threads for Instantcopy, DVD2DVDR and DVDXcopy to see which program meets your requirements. I think all of them come in trial versions so you can see for yourself.

    Ripping programs will show you all VTS's on the disk in movie or ifo mode.
    The eassiest way would be to rip the whole disk and play each VTS to locate the one you want.
