  1. I encoded my movie with TMPGEnc. Never had a problem with it before. This is a 90 minute .m2v I get this error message:

    C:\movie.m2v

    Error : Number of fields (40) in GOP (#9521) or between sequence_header_code should be equal or smaller than 36.

    Info 0 file(s) accepted, 1 file(s) rejected.

    Now What? I take this to mean that 20 frames, (ie; 40 fields) were encoded after one of the sequence headers. I have the GOP setting in TMPGEnc set at 18; (I=1, P=5, B=2, and Sequence Header Output interval=1. So, IBBPBBPBBPBBPBBPBB). I think this is where they get the 36 parameter. But why then, would I have 40 fields within one of the sequences?

    Does this mean I have to encode the whole movie over again?
    If so, how can I make sure this mistake is'nt repeated?

    Yes, I think you have to re-encode. I had the same problem with TMPEG a couple of times. Reel DVD is very picky about the DVD GOP sturcture standards. The settings I use that work are:

    I=1, P=7, B=2.
    Output Interval=1, and Max Frames in a GOP=18.
    Also make sure that "Closed GOP" is NOT selected.

    That's what I used to encode with TMPEG in order for Reel DVD to accept them. Anyone else more learned have any other suggestions?
