My girlfriend bought the Winsor Pilates workout videos. There are 6 dvds and each are around 1.5gb. I want to put 2-4 on a dvd-r. I am very new at this and read many articles on this great site, but can't find what I am looking for.
I tried using spruce-up and really like the program, but it seems like they have to be mpeg 2 files. I want really want to learn to do this with keeping the full quality.
Any help will be great thanks!
Tony

Here's the problem. It's actually fairly easy to put everything on one DVD-R. However, each DVD has it's own menu and IFO structure and it's NOT easy to combine all that onto one DVD-R. You basically have to re-author the whole disc (ie. each DVD). Which is normally a pain in the ass.
From previous posts on this subject I was thinking that it might be possible to use VOBEdit to merge everything together, then IFOUpdate/IFOEdit to fix the pointers/PGC, then Maestro to author a new 'master menu' to point to either menu1 or menu2.
But I've never tried and given the cost of a DVD-R it's really more of a project that you 'do for fun' because DVD Decrytper can make 1:1 iso image copies no problem -
I was wondering if it was going to be that hard. I wish there was a way to(I am not sure if I am wording this right) have a main IFO that would select the dvd, then after the dvd is selected it would run that ifo. Is there a way to use any code like c++ or visual basics to run the dvd's?
Thanks a lot for the help. and excuse me if I am not making sense. Still alittle confused about what files are what.

I understand what you're asking but no you can't just do that. The VIDEO_TS.IFO file defines what's on the DVD. And each DVD has it's own. If you just wanted to have everything play back to back, that's no problem. But to retain the original DVDs menu (which I assume you want for the exercise videos) is a pain.
Again, I would re-author the disc. Merge the VOBs into one file structure, make a new menu that points to disck1 menu and disk2menu, then re-authore the disc2menu to point to all the old chapter pts (this assumes everything is in single PGC, if it's a seamless branching DVD it's going to be a huge pain to put that back together).
There might be an easier way, and hopefully someone will post it. Luck either way
