    Has anyone managed to send anything but AVI back to tape with the ADVC-100 and if so what software do you use? I successfully tested it with AVI using Scenalyzer Live but I'd like to try it with MPG and that doesn't seem possible with SC. Also, is there a way to send the entire desktop out through firewire like the TV Out on a video card?

    no, the ADVC-100 will -only- output DV files through the analogue out. sorry. it's perhaps possible to set an mpeg as the input for some kind of frameserver that would decode the mpeg and encode DV in realtime to pass out of the firewire, but there is no software i know of that can do this.

    Damn. Already thought about trying frameserving too but SC doesn't seem to be able to play the fake AVIs.
