I have an ATI AIW 128 PCI and was wondering if it was possible to take a signal from any of the inputs and combine it with the audio and stream it over the internet in real time with little or no delay. I have 768K upload speed. If it is cheap enough, I could purchase a different card if absolutely necessary.

yes, it's possible. for example, you can run Windows Media Encoder and clients can connect to it directly without the need for a windows media server. I'd recommend using an older version if possible, only because I don't know if you can still connect to the encoder in WM9. Last version used to let you connect to it with http://encoder.ip/streamname or thereabouts, and the 4.1 version let you use mms:// as well.
Lots of other ways to do this, this is only one suggestion. -
maybe i dont know how to use the software but whenever i click start it tells me a device is not working. Thats all it says and gives some sort of code. For the video device i tried it on default and the Brooktree chip. Then the audio lists my sound card and default.
Maybe i dont understand but shouldnt there be a setting in there somewehre so i tell it to stream from the coaxial input? This would be the audio and video.
Ughh anybody with experience in something like this feel free to give me a walkthrough. -
also i am using the directshow driver. Should i switch to the Video for Windows?

sorry for the multiple posts
just an update though i can stream out whatever is on the screen but it says an attatched device is not functioning when i choose the capture card. -
Ihave now found out that Windows media encoder 7.1 does not support my video card and 4.1 is not available for download.
Does anybody else know of a different piece of software that will allow me to broadcast an input on my capture card over the internet, like streaming video?
Any help is appreciated. I have been asked to stream a wedding over the internet as it happens.
Thanks.
