  1. I'm trying to get the MMC7 for the All In Wonder Pro 128 to capture directly to VCD 2.0 but the video size wont accept 352 X 240, I set it, but it reverts to whatever it was before. I can use 320 X 240 or 480 X 240, but not 352. I loaded all the drivers and files in the "HOW TO" section with the exception of GEMSTAR which I dont think I need. I cant find the CD anyway. (it doesnt seem to be in the AIW installation CD).

    Anyway, does anyone know what my problem is?
    Note: I can capture at other sizes, but they wont burn to VCD compliant so I can play it on my APEX 660.

  2. what i had to do was this

    I set a custom AVI capture format of huffyuv 320*240
    then went into the registry and searched for the name that I named the custom avi capture.

    I changed the resolution from 320 to 352 and it worked, any higher and it would delete the entry. I am under win2k but if you search for the name you should find something like this.

    ----
    REGEDIT4

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ATI Technologies\Multimedia\Features\TV\Video Capture\AVI\{ADEFB2AA-88F4-4082-B6AC-86D77B02E15D}]

    "Desc"="Capture a HUFFYUV AVI file"

  3. thanks.
    I am trying a re-load of MMC6. I uninstalled MMC7, loaded MMC6, saw that I was able to use video size 352 X 240 but had the system clock error. I loaded MMC7 ON TOP of MMC6 without unintstalling MMC6 and I was able to keep the video size setting 352 X 240 available and I didnt get a system clock error! A note, I only have AIW 128 w/32MB, not the AIW PRO. It is PCI.

    So far I shot one 30 minute VCD 2.0 compliant stream for a DV camcorder directly into the MMC and EASY CD CREATOR 5.0 (Roxio) was able to accept it and burn to a STI certified brand CDR. It played fairly well on my APEX 660 without any firmware upgraded yet. This is what I'm after. Capture directly to VCD format and burn. I dont want to go through a gyration of demux, mux, or even using MPEG CORRECTOR. (which did work BTW on a system clock errored file).

    I'll continue to test. the color was kind of light. I'll try to play with the colors, other settings, and CDRs.
    At least now I have 1 successful burned CDR that plays!
