  1. What would be the possible solution to watch a DVD region2 (PAL)it in Mexico (region 4 NTSC)?

Do I need a multistandard TV or maybe exist a DVDplayer that converts PAL to NTSC?

  2. Try the Haier HD700 DVD player. It includes an internal NTSC/PAL converter, which
you can easily access with a push of a button on the remote control. Download the
hacked firmware upgrade, which will let you view DVDs out of your region. I live in
Region 1 territory, but we own a lot of European Region 2 discs, which play beautifully
    on our NTSC TV.

BTW, it plays all the CD-Rs, CD-RWs, and VCDs I have given it so far. It also plays
MP3 files, and can shuffle MP3 files, as long as they within a single folder.

I found this player at Fry's, but it was returned unit and the last one in that store.

  3. thanks krumro for your reply!

    I ve an other question:
I made some tests with a friends DVD player PHILCO 5100 and yes, it played well the region2-PAL DVDs exept for two things: the image was horizontaly stretched and the subtitles where kind of pixelated (?) and there was no interactivity so I couldnt access the diferent menues. All this happened when it was converting from PAL to NTSC. Does this happens with the Haier? and BTW do you know if this Philco problem can be fixed someway?
