Being a bit of a newbie I have just installed DVD WORKSHOP on my system and was very surprised when I tried to drop a VOB file into the mix and it didn't support it.
ITS A DVD PACKAGE FOR CHRIST SAKE!
All I wanted to do was backup up 2 dvd features (each one under 1 hour) onto one dvdr, Does anybody know of a way to do this in Workshop? Or any other package for that matter. I take side with the simpler people on this site, The easier the better for me.
Is it even possible? I don't even mind a small quality drop to be honest.
Hey I'm pretty easy to please.

I think the reason is that .vob is a standard DVD file, but not a standard MEDIA file.

They probably didn't include it because it would be an incentive to piracy. It's aimed at authoring dvd's... not copying them.

But it shouldn't be too hard - demux the .vobs, then import the audio and video files into DVD Workshop and bang! you're good to go.

    good luck.
