What's the resolution of your source file, does it contain encoded letterbox bars (black bars at top and bottom)? What program did you use to encode? What settings? etc. etc.
I'm going to assume that the DivX file does not contain black bars but is at a resolution that maintains the desired aspect ratio. And that you encoded with TMPGenc. If so:
1) Run TMPGenc
2) Choose the desired template
3) Click on Settings, then the advance tab.
4) Under Video Arrange Method choose 'Full Screen (keep aspect ratio)'. And source aspect ratio is set to 1:1 VGA (since it's a DivX file).
That should take care of it. Remember that x(S)VCDs are all 4:3 so they have to have the black bars encoded as part of the video. DivX (all PC video) should have a DAR of 1:1. -
Source aspect ratio: 1:1 (VGA)
Video arrange Method: Full screen (keep aspect ratio)
Hope That Helps!!!:P
