  1. Earlier this month I purchased Ulead's Pictureshow 1.0 and about two weeks later Ulead released Pictureshow 2.0. Like many of you who did the same thing, I said, "RAHHHHHHHHGGGGGHHHH!" I just spent $30 on the product and the upgrade is $35 (I think), and all I want is the ability to have it automatically fade the music out at the end of a slide show. Well, I just discovered something nice Ulead did. Loading up a slideshow I created in version 1.0, I expected it to be truncated to 3 slideshows of 10 slides each. Not so! It took in the entire thing (over 500 pictures in 14 slideshows) and allowed me to apply version 2 stuff to it (transitions, fading music, titles, etc) and burn it. The buttons for adding new pictures and slideshows (and movies) were greyed out, but I think it was decent of Ulead to give us this freebee.

  2. Here's an oddity I discovered while trying to actually create the VCD. Pictureshow 1.0 uses 182 MB for about 550 pictures. When taken into PictureShow 2.0, the same show takes up 505 MB for a VCD and switching the option to SVCD takes up about 186 MB. The VCD is not using any transitions. Anyone know why this would happen?

  3. I finally got dvd-r. I made about 6 or so VCD 2.0 with Ulead PictureShow 1.0. So I thought ok I'll get all my 6,000+ photos on one DVD-R and make copies for the fam and relatives. Well Ulead PictureShow doesn't do still ...wtf. Cuz too many clamored for transitions. Your right about that file size.
I'm gonna uninstall Ulead 2.0 and reinstall 1.0. I'm first thought gonna try vegas video 4.0 for slideshows and see how that fairs.
