alot of hassle the way i did was make the it into a mpg format by re-encoding dvd pal or vcd pal (lower quality) with tmc then reauthoring using mydvd but you have to be aware the audio normally doubles so you would have to lower the quality of the video alot easier having a multiregion machine, if you want to backit up make into a vcd pal format then reauthor using an authoring software, Theres probably a better way but seen as i had my dvd that came with my writer thats the way i bodged it.
