Sampo DVE-611 International version

Does anybody have any information on this unit? I am looking at getting one to replace my Phillips 825 for the simple fact of the PAL<->NTSC conversion. The fact that it has all region codes availible is also a bonus.
My only concers are:
1. What is the picture quality like?
2. What format of X(S)VCD does it support?
3. What is the audio quality like?

Any info is greatly appreciated.

There is a do it yourself region hack available for the Sampo DVE-611 now. You don't have to pay extra for an "international" version:
