TMPGEnc has been actinf stupid lately, first it wouldn't recognize any .wav files, then it wouldn't recognize .mpg files THAT IT MADE, now it won't recognize uncompressed .avi files, which are compatible with everything. WTF is going on, this is extremely annoying, help!

well, the version of TMPGEnc I was trying to open it with was 2.59.47.155 Plus, I still have the another version installed from before I finally bought the Plus version, The older non-plus version opens the file and converts it fine, seems I payed all that money for a POS.

Until version 2.56 (standard or plus), TMPGEnc was an independed application on some matters. That, for various reasons, changed. So, if the overall PC setup ain't perfect, you have issues....
Latest built (2.510) fixed some bugs, but ain't that stable/flexible yet as 2.56! -
the non-plus version i am using is 2.59.47.155, same as the plus.......

If you paid for the plus version, then you have a serial. Download the latest tmpegenc plus version, use your serial and try with the latest built.
It might help you.
Or, try to find the older 2.56 plus version. The serial you have it must be okey for this version also. -
I downloading and am sucessfully using the matest version of the plus version....
