I am trying to copy Pearl Harbor onto 1 DVD-R. It comes on two DVD's currently and I want to fit it onto one for convenience. I don't mind the quality. Here is how I have tried to do it so far.
Method 1:
DVD Decrypter each DVD to its own directory
Rename VOB's of second to follow first
IFOEdit to generate IFO's / Get VTS
DVD2one to shrink
Burn to DVD-R w Nero
Method 2:
DVD Decrypter each DVD to its own directory
Rename VOB's of second to follow first
VOBEdit to join VOB's
IFOEdit to generate IFO's / Get VTS
DVD2one to shrink
Burn to DVD-R w Nero
Both methods play fine until the point on the DVD that corresponds to the second chapter of the second disk, at which point it jumps to a much earlier chapter of the first disc and then shortly stops. It does play the first chapter of the second part okay. I'm faily sure it's not the media as I have burned 20 or so other movies with no problem.
I have tried various version of all of the above software.
WinXP SP1
Athlon 1.2
Pioner DVR105 latest firmware
Ritek G04's
Lite-On 166S to rip
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

OK, I have finally been able to geet this movie working using method #2, but still have one more issue. Now, everything plays fine up until the closing credits, at which point it starts alternating between french and english, and then ends prematurely.
Anyone have any ideas on this one?
