I need some help. I have some mpeg-2 files with an audio stream at 48kHz that I want to downsample to 44.1kHz.

I've used ffmpegx Tools section to demux the file, so now I have .m2v
    and .mp2 files.

How do I downsample the audio file and end up with mp2 format so I can then mux it with video stream back to mpeg-2?

    Appreciate any suggestions.

    Use a program called MpegPowerTool.

Open it up, select "re-encode MP2" and select the sample rate you wish to use. You can even batch-add mutiple MP2 files to do in sequence.

    You can find MpegPowerTool Here:

    Hope this helps.
