Hi there,
Firstly, I would like to thank you all for the help I have already got from this board.
OK, I have came from a DVD Workshop background, and 1 feature I made use of a lot was its 'time out' feature, which made a menu auto play the selected button after a pre-defined amount of time.
I have now moved over to Pinnacle Impression DVD Pro, but I cant figure out how to do this in impression though, I have searched the board and manual but cant find anything.
I would require this feature for both still and motion menu's so that if the user doesnt select anything in the menu within 20 seconds for example, to menu would timeout and begin playing the selected option.
Thanks in advance for any help..
Wayne Kinney.

The method which I tested is described.
make it read the built data (VIDEO_TS) by another software (Ifoedit) -- it is the method of re-setting up the part in a menu table and rewriting data
Although a vocabulary may not be transmitted since translation software is used, I think that the similar way is in the following sites.

Thanks for your reply,
However im not sure i understand it:P. Do you mean use a program like IfoEdit to make changes to the authored video_ts folder in order to tel the menu to time out?
Please explain your method or link me to a guide if you would.
Thanks again,

What you have to make use of is the GOTO Link feature. You also have to make sure your menu (be it still or video background) is not set for "Infinite" duration. On stills this can be accomplished in the properties section, or by adding a bit of audio underneath, or by creating from the still a piece of non-moving video of a certain length.

Thanks for your reply,
Problem is, the GOTO link on the timeline only seems to be avialible to clips that are not menus. You cant seem to be able to set GOTO links for menus. Also, i can only see that still image menu's have an 'infinate' option.
You say that 'by creating from the still a piece of non-moving video of a certain length.', but thats my problem, if i do this and create a 30 second piece of video, then it loops back to the begining at the end of the menu instead of playing the selected asset.
Please help..
