Hi. First of all, both Smartripper and DVD Decriptor work great. I like smartripper best, but that is just personal preference. Use the file mode if you want a complete back up with menus, extras, etc. Then, ofcourse, there are many choices of software for transcoding and burning. I always just rip in the file mode since I delete the files after I burn my DVD anyway.
You create your own reality. Interested in media servers and HTPC? Can we talk?

Look at the poll results in the post above,... You will see that DVDDecrypter is the top choice. It is also the easyist to use. I've used the both, and because Smartripper has so many options, you can screw up the settings and get results you can use. All you do with DVDDecrypter is load the DVD (it will then update the location in the source folder), then you select the output file and hit the CD disk logo and away you go. Couldn't be simpler.

All that may be true however for me I started out with SmartRipper so I tend to use it more.
