What a bunch of idiots over at Doom9

So I go there and there is a guide that is a little difficult to understand. I post that the guide isn't coherent to a beginner. The guy who wrote it gets a little mad at me. I understand that. Neither of us use profanity towards each other. I merely say that whereas the guide is great the delivery of it is not. SO did I criticize him? YES. Did he also criticize me after? Yes. But then I get banned by this dumb Swede. Censorship. Gotta love it.

Oh no. They are idiots. What is funny is that I have seen way worse over here and nothing happens. It is called freedom of speech. If someone want to criticize someone, go ahead, just don't be mad when they criticize back.

Doom9 is by far the best forum out there for learning how to do what we are here to do.

It may be a little Knowledge heavy sometimes, but it sure contains the info you need to learn.

What I find funny is that you will get users here that post "THIS IS HOW TO DO THIS AND THAT" and all they do is basically repeat steps for guides that have been posted at Doom9 for ages

To me, VCDHelp.Com forums are the beginners area while Doom9.org forusm are the advanced area

Yeh - chat rooms and forums are variable. Some you can go over the top with political statements and cussing, some you get kicked FIRST then have to ask politely to rejoin in order to say anything!

I find the attitude to be a little to pissy at doom9. I no longer use the forum here to find out things, but I still visit it daily, to help out on low, or no-response posts.

No. If you learn to read you will see they are idiots for banning me becuase I criticized someone. Do I care if someone criticizes me? No. That is well within their rights. What I do care about is getting banned because I have an opinion. Learn to read first please. I agree that If people's feelings get hurt when they are criticized then this is not the place for them.

The post is moved or removed, and if you continue, you get banned as well. I'm not saying you attacked anyone here, nor am I saying your post offended me in some way. What was personal? I said he didn't communicate his thoughts well in that guide. I said the guide is great but the way it is written a beginner would not be able to understand it.

I tried registering with doom9.org and they require a"Non Hotmail Account"....give me a break,they are crazy if they think I'm going to give my ISP e-mail address.
Also their forum doesn't seem to get as much traffic as DVDHELP.com and the responses to questions are lame.
The only reason I'll visit their web-site is to d/l software.

You should just said was this
If you know what your are doing then this is fine, if you are a beginner I guarantee they don't get past step 6.

Step 6 should say something like.

1. Select Open.
2. Select your Video_ts.ifo file.
3. Look in window where it says VMG OVerview. Below that you will se Number of Title Play maps. The largest is most likely your movie.

Step 7??? Region free each IFO and get vts Sectors in Ifoedit? Which one do you open first. Do you region free each ifo first then vts it or do you do one after the other? This is gibberish.

I see why 2COOL got piss off but then agian his action was no better then your was.

There are far better ways to provide constructive criticism without pissing someone off. You could've said I suggest changing the wording such as this: blah blah ....
but instead you prefer a personal attack saying "Your guide is the worse I've ever seen" right off the bat.

Personally I wish the mods would kick some more ass more often over there. For me they're way too lax in some of those forums. But hey I'll let it slide. I got tired of politics and bickering of the users asking the same questions 666,666,666 times and quit being a mod over there about a year ago. Now they have more rulez and maybe it'd be fun...nah. I'll leave the enforcing to the mods. Bottom line is take it up with doom9 it's his site. The moderator probably gave him more leeway because he had been there longer and had given more to the Doom9 community (not knocking your contribution).

That's probably why you got banned and he was probably just warned.

I would have banned you twice over, and banned all your friends and family too from ever using the internet ever again.
Yours wasn't an opinion demonstrating free speech, it was an ignorant attack on someone who had gone out of their way to assist others.
You could have easily phrased your critism constructively yet you choose the path of hostility.
Please, feel free to demonstrate the same level of imaturity here and we can see if we can get rid of you on this forum too.

if you're going to use simple words like CARE, you should learn how to spell that. you said it yourself. if the moderator of the board didn't like your response, he has the right to ban you. why don't you start your own site so we could say whatever we want?
