... how to backup / convert it? Its been awhile and a google search is near impossible because of the real Divx. I'm still sittin on a bunch.

sorry but I think because of the special type of hardware used in those boxes you cannot read one without it (did that make any sense?
)
So the only way you could convert these to dvd would be to get a divx player and capture the output via tv card etc.
