Using VDup as capturing: VDup tells me about 1% dropped frames. But I can't see them in the captured avi.As the audio stays in sync, how does VDup handle such dropped frames?Just inserting the previous one into the stream?
My previous capturing program produced dropped frames with noisy blocks. Why can VDup handle such bad frames better? Any ideas are welcome.

(VDup can'T extract Audio out of a DV stream - found the answer at VDup site)

I checked an avi with dropped frames:VDup is just inserting the last good frame into the stream, replacing one or more bad/dropped frames. This is not bad, because the audio stays in sync and one doesn't notice such duplicated frames, if there are not too many (1 or 2 per minute is OK).What is quite annoying is the audio sync issue. As VDup can't capture audio thru DV, it relies on the soundcard, with can or does produce a time lag.You have to do some tests to find the exact delay (on my PC it's about 400ms - but I don't know, if this is or stays constant).Any comments are welcome (esp. for the sync problem.
