Hi,
my DVD player plays MPEGs from SVCDs when authored in IFOEdit and they look really good, my question is, when my DVD player plays these movies is it doing a resolution chnge to the movie? I have tried
re-encoding movies the same movies to DVD standards and they do not look good at all (CCE 3 times VBR which works great for SVCDs , I up the bit rates etc to DVD bitrate, 8000 max, average 4000 min 2000).
Does the DVD stand alone player change the resolution of the movies when it detects different sizes ie. 480x480 svcd compared to 720x480 Dvd.
Can anyone explain how this works?
Patrick
