I have a Pioneer DVD-120 DVD-ROM drive in my computer that I use to rip movies with DVDDecryper. The problem is that it only rips at 1.0x - 1.2x. Are there any other DVD-ROM drives that rip faster?
TIA!
Tony

1) Make use DMA is enabled in Windows.
2) If the DVD is on the cable with another device, make sure THAT device is DMA capable. A 16x CDRW is generally NOT DMA capable. IDE devices run at whatever the slowest device is.
3) Check your ASPI settings. DVDDecryptor has 4 different ways it can access the DVD drive. One of the settings is definately 1x, the ASPI and WINASPI should let you go faster.
4) Try using your software DVDplayer for at least a minute of the main movie, pause it, then try DVDDecryptor. To Be, Or, Not To Be, That, Is The Gazorgan Plan -

Buy a Liteon LTD-163 DVD drive. I bought two of them after doing a search at www.pricewatch.com
I have seen speeds as high as 15.5x with the Liteon drives.
