    can someone suggest me how to change a mpeg file to a mp3 file.

  2. use tmpgenc to demultiplex to separate audio and video files.....then convert the audio file to .wav (not sure which software to use)....then convert the .wav to mp3 with CDex with lame encoder as default

    If is is mpeg1 you can use virtualdub to extract it directly to wav or mp3.

    Load the MPG/AVI/ASF/MOV/WMA into http://www.goldwave.com select save as and select MP3 Job Done...

    Make sure you get the MP3 plugging from the same site.
