I have received two e-mails from this company, whoever they are, and somethings doesn't smell write.
On the web page, the second screen of this looks just like TMPG, but I am not sure about the first screen.
The product says DVD Professional with really no name of a creator or manufactorer. If you know of what this is about, please let me know.
This look like something either all should be warned about about, or purchase immedaitely.

Don't get it. This same program was already discussed in the "Off-Topic" forum. Look at the second "Mpeg Settings" image. Its Tmpeg.

well if the package contains Tmpgenc and its only 20 bucks thats a pretty good deal isn't tmpgenc like 40 if you buy it from the site?

From the Tools section at left, you can download the following and their "prices":
TMPGEnc freeware version.................$0.00
DVDx (freeware).................................$0.00
TMPGEnc MPEG-2 Plug In (freeware)...$0.00
Total............................................. ......$0.00
DVD Professional...............................$20.00
Boy, I hope someone knows how to use a calculator. And NBC News just validated this "scam". Selling freeware, what a con job!Hello. -

Please ghoster, I'm not putting you down at all, but you can see from ghosters remark and my curiosity how easy it would be to scam people by selling free software. TMPGenc for VCD (MPEG-1) is free !! The plus is for SVCD and there is a extremely reasonable $48 fee for that.
The e-mail is from AOL, I already wrote to abuse@aol.com, about being spammed, but this is more serious, it is stealing, especially from companies who provide their talent and creativity to people like us for free or for whatever donation we would like to give.
Anyone have any ideas about how we can nail these cheaters ?

Here is some more information on the scam. Information from Internic about the website eclipseway.com is below. Isn't it interesting that the contact Daniel ludwig is using a hotmail e-mail address !!
E-mail to Daniel and letting Microsoft @ hotmail know about this might be interesting.
