I've been trying to convert some TV clips (entire series of cartoons) from VCD onto DVD. I've had some success as follows:
The first thing I tried was just loading the converted .mpg (from the .dat) into DVD-IT and setting the audio to Dolby 128 stereo. The file appeared to be the right size, and both the video and audio played - problem was that the audio had been speeded up to about 1.5 times.
However, I can get the audio fixed if I do the following:
Convert the .dat back to .mpg
Use TMPGENC to convert the audio to MPEG 1 Layer 2 48KHz to a .mpa
Use TMPGENC to demux the video only to a .m1v
Then I load the .m1v's and .mpa's into DVD-IT and under project settings use Dolby 128kbps stereo.
The resulting VOB's use round 10MB per min which suggests I should be able to put around 430mins on a 4300MB DVD.
I basically have a few questions I'm stuck with:
1. Is there an easier way to fix the sound speed up, or am I stuck with the de-muxing?
2. I want to add a menu where I can play one of the clips, and then return to the main menu - how can I do this?
3. If I capture my clips at 352x288 1150kbps video and use 48KHz audio would I be able to just do a simple de-mux and then add the files in DVD-IT?
Thanks,
NiVZ.
Setup:
AMD Athlon XP 2200 (~1800GHz)
256MB Ram
80GB HDD
ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon 7500
Windows XP
Using ATI MMC 7.6 and/or Virtual Dub 1.4 for capture.
