I'm working w/ an xvid of swe2. i'm trying to convert to a dvd-r. i've tired the following:

    audio
extract audio to wav w/ avi2wav and virtualdub
converting wav to ac3 w/ bsweet or goldwave

    converting
video in tmpgenc using xvid and wav as source
video in tmpgenc using virtualdub frameserve
    allowing dvdmaestro to convert it

    authoring
    combining converted m2v/wav in infoedit
combining converted m2v/wav in dvd maestro

you pick the combination, i've tried it

each time i get in the end, either jumpy video w/ correct audio, or audio totally out of sync w/ correct video. just for sh*ts and grins, i tried converting dvd to svcd using sefy's guide and the same thing, completely out of sync.

    is this because of tmpgenc?

here's some more info: the frame rate is 23.976
each time i rip audio from xvid, i get something like 24 min when i play it in msplayer. so virtualdub isn't ripping the whole audio (it takes 20 sec) after taking it through besweet, it's even smaller. so i have to do it w/ avi2wav

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? i've wasted too much time on this.

  2. Here's an idea, I don't know if it will work, but it's worth a try, see if you can play the AVI using WinAMP, if you can, set WinAMP output to be DiskWriter so when you play the AVI it will create a new Uncompressed WAV file.

That file should be perfect for Encoding in TMPGEnc later.

PS: I Did not write any AVI/DivX Guides, or DVDR guides as i don't have a DVD Burner, and I don't like DivX sources
