I converted an AVI movie using TMPGEnc into a m2v and wav. Can someone tell me what I need to do from here. Do I have to convert it to VOB files before burning it onto a DVD so that it will play in my standalone? If so can someone point me in the right direction on how to do it?
I am new at all of this and basically use guides for everything but I couldn't find any info about what was next. On the guide I used to convert the AVI it said next was to burn. I wanted to double check before wasting a DVD+r disk
TIA for your help...

You need to 'author' your DVD. This will produce the vob if ona bup files that you can then burn to your DVD. There are several software packages that will do this depending on what you want in terms of menus, chapter points etc.
Ifoedit is free and will produce a basic DVD with no menus and chapters that will play when you inster it into your DVD player. Other options are Ulead DVD workshop or moviefactory, Sonic MyDvd or DVDit, Dazzle DVD complete and many others. Take a look at the authroing guides for more help.
